Measles

MEASLES

Measles is part of the routine childhood vaccination schedule in Canada. Recently, we have seen an increase in measles cases in Ontario and these have been primarily in people who have not been vaccinated.

The rise in measles is not just isolated to Canada, but has been seen worldwide and is linked to lower vaccination rates.

The video attached has been created to help explain what is happening and to explain measures that can be taken.

Public Health

Public health remains key in tracking infection rates across localities and the country.

Your local public health website can provide up to date information on your area and can highlight local measures and advice.
